Job Description: As a Project Manager at I3T, Kolkata, you will be a crucial member of our research management team, responsible for planning, executing, and closing research projects efficiently. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of project management experience, with a background in scientific research and a strong track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Initiation:

• Collaborate with research teams to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Identify and engage relevant stakeholders and establish project teams.

Project Execution:

• Lead project teams in the day-to-day execution of research projects, ensuring adherence to project plans.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines, and implement necessary adjustments.
• Coordinate and communicate project status and updates to stakeholders.

Resource Management:

• Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure effective utilization of resources to meet project goals.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project outcomes.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges as they arise.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that research projects maintain high standards of quality and adhere to relevant standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular quality assessments and implement improvement measures.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and deliver regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and project closure documentation.

Team Leadership:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, science, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
• 3 to 5 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing research projects.
