Dr. MANAS K. MAJUMDAR- Research Scientist
Dr. Manas K Majumdar is having over 25 years of experience in both academia and global bio-pharmaceutical industry, fifteen of which was spent at majors like GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer. Robust scientific background exemplified by publication in peer-reviewed journals. Areas of research experience include Stem cell biology, musculoskeletal biology, Biomarker discovery, Inflammation, Biologicals and small molecule.
Dr. Amartya Mishra - Research Scientist
Dr. Amartya Mishra completed his master degree in Biochemistry from University of Calcutta and obtained his doctoral degree from CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata, India. Dr. Mishra has experience in the field of molecular parasitology for about 10 years from various international school of biomedical research including Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel and State University of New York at Buffalo, USA. At I3T, his research interest would focus on the development of therapeutics targeted against the distinct metabolic pathways for tropical infectious pathogens.
Dr. Suman Dutta - Research Scientist
In his initial years, Dr. Suman Dutta has worked on inflammation-induced apoptosis and has received a Ph.D. degree in 2011. Dr. Dutta then moved to South Korea for his first postdoctoral study at Hallym University. After that, he moved into the field of extracellular vesicle biology and in Mahidol University, Thailand, his work was to search for CCA biomarkers in exosomes for pre-clinical diagnosis and to elucidate the role of exosomal cargo in cholangiocarcinoma pathogenesis. At the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (CSIR-IICB), his work involved the identification of exosomal signature cargos for metal-induced toxicity and carcinogenicity in humans. In early 2016, Dr. Dutta joined the University of California Los Angeles, where the main focus of his work was to analyze the brain-derived blood exosomes in different neurodegenerative diseases. He also worked in generating signature spectra of single exosomes from different sources using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) and developed a highly sensitive phospho-α-Synuclein (pS129) assay using a small spot U-plex electrochemiluminescence (ECELISA) platform. Dr. Dutta’s research is dedicated to understanding disease pathologies and develop new therapeutic and diagnostic tools for different neurodegenerative diseases.
Dr. Nirmalya Dey – Research Scientist
Dr. Avisek Mondal – Research Scientist
Dr. Nazmun Lyle – Research Scientist
Dr. Amlanjyoti Dhar – Research Scientist
Dr. Dhar has an experience in the field of Biochemical sciences for about 18 years. An alumnus of the prestigious Bose Institute and Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB), he worked extensively on developing drugs against Melanoma. He joined as a Research Fellow probing into gene regulation for National Cancer Institute, at Bethesda, MD, USA for a period of 08 years. At I3T, his research interest would focus on vaccine development for several diseases that posed a major threat against public health.
