In the last decade India has moved several strides in combating Public Health epidemics and managing ensuing health crises. Governmental policies both at the state and the national level have been formulated to better protect the lives of the citizens.
However, Public Health threats can completely be eradicated only if along with the legislative changes, the public is made conscious about and willing to make alterations in their lifestyle to deter impending health threats.
WHO’s trademark definition of Public Health also aim at this holistic well- being – “The art and science of preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting health through the organized efforts and informed choices of society, organizations, public and private, communities and individuals”.
I3T’s primary focus is on Public Health and along with conducting research we are also keen to ensure that the forthcoming generation understands the implications and are more prepared to handle Public Health Challenges.
The diploma program aims to deliver a cutting edge inter disciplinary educational experience to graduate applicants with an aspiration for building a prospective career.
I3T is primarily a Public Health Research Institute and our students will get the opportunity to directly interact with the scientists working to develop solutions to Public Health issues at the institute. While studying global trends in Public Health, our students will be interacting with the community to delve right in to the problem and the difficulty faced by the local governments and authorities in implementing government policies. Students will be exposed to International Seminars and Workshops where hands on Training will be provided by experts in the field.
